On behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs we are looking for a Skilled CNC Machinist for a 12 months contract based in Solihull.

What you'll do:

Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machining equipment.Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and working instructions to produce components to exact tolerances.Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, CMM's) to ensure compliance with the client's quality standards.Identify and help implement improvements to machining processes whilst collaborating with our Manufacturing Engineers to enhance productivity, reduce waste and improve component quality.Collaborate with engineering, machine maintenance teams and team leaders to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during production.Conduct proactive and preventative maintenance activities to optimise performance of machining equipment.Be vigilant and highlight any concerns with product, material and measurement equipment which may affect customer quality or safety standards.Adhere to the client's quality standards and aerospace industry regulations.Document production data, inspection results and non-conformances accurately, prioritising product safety.Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies to maintain a safe working environment.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, production staff, team leaders and production managers to achieve production targets and solve problems.The skills you'll need:

NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline including completing a time-served recognised apprenticeship or equivalent experience.Experience in manufacturing operations & production environment.Able to work to technical instructions and adhere to fixed process and quality standards.Confident in interpreting engineering drawings.Knowledge & experience of a wide range of inspection techniques. Please note we will require copies of the certificates prior the interview.
