Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join a dynamic and friendly team at a state–of–the–art manufacturing facility in Milton Keynes. This role is responsible for delivering a reliability–based maintenance strategy, including preventive, predictive, proactive, and reactive maintenance. The successful candidate will work closely with the Maintenance Team Leader and Production Engineering Manager to ensure all equipment, assets, and facilities are fully operational and maintained to a high standard.

Working Hours & Compensation

Monday Friday, 08 30 (40 hours/week), with mandatory structured overtime as required, Competitive hourly rate with skill–based progression, Overtime at premium rates and additional weekly bonus opportunities, Annual performance–based bonus.

Key Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and replace equipment, assets, and facilities to a world–class standard. Deliver scheduled preventive maintenance and provide emergency support as required. Support development of a proactive maintenance program and maintain accurate equipment records. Manage spare parts, data entry, and procurement processes. Assist team members with technical repairs and research, fostering a collaborative approach. Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, ensuring quality and adherence to safety standards. Participate in health, safety, and environmental programs, including compliance with working at heights, hot works, and confined spaces regulations. Maintain 5S standards within the department and support facilities maintenance. Handle out–of–hours maintenance as required. Required Experience & Skills

Engineering or maintenance background with understanding of mechanical assets. Basic fault–finding and diagnostic skills. Strong health and safety awareness. Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documentation. Effective communication with staff and subcontractors at a technical level. Proven planning and organisational skills. Valid driving license. Desirable Skills

Engineering experience with basic electrical and pneumatic knowledge. Personal Attributes

Able to work independently and in a team. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces. Proactive, with a keen interest in learning new technologies and continuous improvement. Calm, structured, and prioritised approach to work under pressure. Can–do attitude with a drive to succeed.
