Job Title: Semi–Skilled Bench Hand Joiner

Location: Leicester

Hours: 7am to 4pm Mon to Thu / 7am to 12pm on Fri

Pay Rate: 13.00 – 14.00 per hour

About the Role

our client is looking to recruit a Semi–Skilled Bench Hand Joiner to support the manufacture and assembly of high–quality timber products within a busy workshop environment. This role is ideal for a joiner with hands–on workshop experience who is confident using hand and power tools and is looking to further develop their skills within a professional joinery operation.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting in the manufacture and assembly of timber products at the bench

Using hand and power tools to cut, shape, and finish joinery components

Working from basic drawings, job sheets, and measurements

Sanding, trimming, and preparing components for finishing or assembly

Supporting skilled joiners with day–to–day bench work

Ensuring work is completed to quality standards and specifications

Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area

Following health and safety procedures at all times

About You

Previous experience in a joinery or woodworking workshop desirable

Confident using hand tools and basic power tools

Good attention to detail and quality

Able to follow instructions and work from measurements

Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn

Able to work independently and as part of a team
