Quality Manager

Location: Andover, Hampshire

Salary: Up to 52,000 (DOE)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm

Are you a hands–on Quality professional looking to make a real impact? We're working with an established and highly respected manufacturer supplying critical equipment into the defence, security, and public sector.

The Role

As Quality Manager, you'll take ownership of all quality activities across the site, ensuring products are compliant, fit for purpose, and delivered to the highest standards.

This is a visible, hands–on position – ideal for someone who enjoys being on the shop floor, solving problems, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage quality assurance and control processesDevelop, implement, and maintain quality systems and documentationEnsure compliance with ISO 9001 and customer requirementsConduct internal and external auditsDrive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, or KaizenLead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actionsCollaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teamsMonitor manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to specificationsManage supplier quality and performanceInvestigate customer complaints and resolve non–conformances

About You

Proven experience in a Quality Management role within manufacturingHands–on, proactive and solutions–focused approachStrong knowledge of quality tools and root cause analysis (5 Whys, FMEA, Fishbone)Ability to interpret technical drawings and specificationsExperience with ERP/MES systems and quality softwareUnderstanding of composites, textiles, or clothing manufacturing (desirable)Strong communication, organisation, and analytical skills
