Quality Control Operative (Food Manufacturing)

Night shift – Sunday to Thursday: 21:30 to 06:30

Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a Quality Control Operative to join a food manufacturing business within a modern production facility in Stoke on Trent. The role is responsible for ensuring products meet company, customer, and food safety standards throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct weight checks on finished and frozen products and verify any breakagesMonitor product weight and size during production to ensure compliance with specificationsVerify ingredient weighing and recipe accuracyPerform daily checks on ingredient and water measurementsComplete routine temperature checks on chillers, freezers, and refrigerated storage areasMonitor product weights and dimensions to ensure consistency and specification complianceEnsure products meet required temperature standards throughout the production processCarry out equipment and safety checks, including knife inspectionsRecord, investigate, and support corrective actions for non–conformancesGenerate and maintain non–conformance reports and ensure timely resolution of issuesVerify product labelling accuracyConduct routine metal detector validation checksFollow sampling plans for raw materials and finished productsSupport internal and external audits by maintaining accurate records and documentationWork collaboratively with the Quality team, providing cover for colleagues where requiredContribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, compliance, and product consistency Working Hours
