Description

Position: Quality Controller

Location: Newcastle-under-Lyme

Contract Type: Temporary ongoing | Full-Time- Day AND Night shifts available as follows-

DAYS 7:00AM-4:00PM

NIGHTS 9:30PM-6:30AM

Hourly Rate: £13.57 - £15.53

Are you passionate about ensuring high-quality standards in manufacturing? Do you have an eagle eye for detail and a knack for numbers? If so, we want you to be part of our clients dynamic team as a Quality Controller.

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Quality Controller, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our clients products. Your responsibilities will include:

Conducting thorough inspections of incoming materials and finished products

Documenting inspection results accurately and promptly

Identify and report any quality issues or discrepancies

Collaborate with production teams to ensure compliance

Assist in the implementation of quality control processes

Conduct weight checks for frozen products and verify breakages where required

Monitor weight and size of products during production to ensure compliance with specification

Conduct daily checks for accuracy

Complete daily/weekly temperature checks for chillers, freezers, and canteen refrigerators

Ensure that all products meet specified temperature requirements throughout production

Carry out knife checks to ensure safety and compliance

Generate and maintain reports, ensuring timely resolution of quality issues

Verifying product label accuracy

Conducting routine metal detection checks

Following monthly sampling plans for materials and finished products

What We're Looking For:

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

Previous quality control checking is essential

Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn

Good English skills- written and verbal

IT Literate with an understanding of Microsoft package and email

Good organisation and communication skills

Ability to work on own initiative with an eye for detail

Ability to work in a targeted environment

Previous experience working in a food manufacturing environment beneficial
