Location: Daventry

Salary: – 34,000

Purchasing Lead required for an automotive small/medium component manufacturer based in Daventry. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing purchasing (preferably automotive or aerospace) and strong negotiation and commercial skills.

Purchasing Lead Overview

Lead supplier negotiations on price, terms, and long–term agreementsBenchmark market pricing for raw materials (stainless, inconel, aluminium, fabrication consumables etc.)Raise and manage purchase orders in line with MRP requirementsIssuing and monitoring supplier schedulesEnsure timely supply of materials to meet production schedulesControl purchasing spend in line with budgetNegotiate improved payment terms where appropriateWork with Finance to support cash flow planningPurchasing Lead Requirements

Experience in manufacturing purchasing (preferably automotive or aerospace)Strong negotiation and commercial skillsComfortable working in a fast–paced SME environmentData–driven and systems literate (MRP/ERP experience essential)
