Hourly Rate: £13.07 + £1.31 shift allowance

About the Role

Gap Personnel is recruiting motivated and reliable Production Operators on behalf of our client based in Barnsley. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing team in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.

You will play a key role in operating machinery, maintaining product quality, and supporting continuous improvement efforts—all while ensuring safety and efficiency on the production line.

Shift Pattern & Pay:

Continental Shifts (4 on / 4 off):

Days: 06:00 – 18:00

Nights: 18:00 – 06:00

Pay:

£13.07 per hour basic

£1.31 per hour shift allowance

Annual Salary: £31,498.20

Key Responsibilities:

*

Operate production machinery in line with customer requirements and quality standards

*

Meet daily production and quality targets

*

Ensure safe operation of equipment at all times

*

Carry out minor machine adjustments and basic maintenance

*

Monitor and report on product quality

*

Maintain accurate records of production data

*

Communicate effectively with team members, especially during shift handovers

*

Support 5S, TPM, and other lean manufacturing initiatives

*

Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Skills & Experience:

Experience operating machinery in a high-volume manufacturing setting (preferred)

Good numeracy, literacy, and communication skills

Strong team player with the ability to work independently

Flexible and adaptable to meet shift and production demands

Familiarity with lean tools such as 5S, TPM, and visual management is desirable
