Production Operative – Electronics

Location: Andover

Salary: £14.75 per hour

Working Pattern: Monday–Thursday, 06:00–14:15 & Friday, 06:00–14:00 (Full-time) Syntech Recruitment are partnering with a leading electronics manufacturer seeking a detail-oriented Production Operative to join their assembly team in Andover.

This is a hands-on permanent opportunity within a high-precision environment, where you will contribute to the assembly and testing of PCBAs used in critical sectors such as Aerospace, Medical, and Defence.

Production Operative Responsibilities

*

Assembling PCBs and electronic products in strict accordance with work instructions and SOPs.

*

Performing hand soldering to IPC standards (comprehensive training can be provided).

*

Cleaning PCBs post-soldering using approved chemical processes and specialized materials.

*

Operating automated and semi-automated production and testing equipment.

*

Conducting basic quality checks to ensure all assemblies meet the required specifications.

*

Maintaining a clean and organized workstation to ensure safety and efficiency.

Production Operative Experience

*

Proven experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or production-based environment.

*

Excellent manual dexterity and the ability to work confidently with small, delicate components.

*

Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality, right-first-time work.

*

Ability to follow technical instructions and standard operating procedures accurately.

*

Target-driven mindset with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

*

Flexible approach, with a willingness to support various production departments as required.
