Production Operative - Packaging

Location: Hertfordshire

Job Type: Full-Time,

Permanent

Salary: £25,396 - £27,500 per annum (depending on experience)

About the Role

An established manufacturer and supplier of corrugated packaging solutions is seeking a Corrugated Production Operative to join its production team in Hertfordshire.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a friendly and supportive team producing high-quality, bespoke corrugated packaging products. The role offers varied and interesting work across a range of machinery, along with training and development opportunities for individuals looking to progress their manufacturing career.

Key Responsibilities

Operate production machinery and equipment to manufacture bespoke corrugated packaging products.

Follow standard operating procedures and health & safety guidelines to ensure efficient and safe production processes.

Adhere to quality, hygiene, and safety accreditation standards.

Carry out quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process and on finished products to ensure specifications are met.

Assemble components and packaging products as required.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain production targets and quality standards.

Skills and Experience Required

Good numeracy and arithmetic skills.

Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.

Ability to accurately measure and check dimensions.

Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment.

Flexible attitude with a positive, can-do approach.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Working Hours

This role operates on an 8-hour shift pattern between 6:00am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, depending on production requirements and with prior notice from the Line Manager.

Typical working hours are:

Monday to Wednesday: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Thursday: 7:00am - 4:00pm

Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
