Procurement and Supplier Development Lead

This role is responsible for developing supply chain readiness and supplier capability to support a significant production ramp–up across complex manufacturing programmes. It focuses on supplier engagement, industrialisation activities and capacity assurance to enable sustainable growth, continuity of supply and long–term performance across an evolving manufacturing environment.

This position would suit a procurement or supply chain professional with strong experience in supplier development within a manufacturing environment. It is ideal for someone who enjoys working cross–functionally, improving supplier performance, supporting production growth and influencing strategic sourcing and investment decisions through data–driven analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Lead supplier development activities to ensure capacity, capability and supply chain readinessConduct detailed supplier assessments, risk evaluations and run–at–rate demonstrationsCollaborate with internal manufacturing, engineering, quality and commodity teamsSupport make–or–buy decisions and strategic sourcing recommendationsIdentify cost–saving, performance improvement and capacity expansion opportunitiesRequirements:

Strong experience in Supplier Development within Procurement or Supply Chain roleExperience within highly regulated ManufacturingExcellent communication skillsDegree qualified or similarAwareness of APQP and Lean PrinciplesPermanent

Salary: 50k – 60k (dependent on experience).

Location: South Manchester

Full Time: (Apply online only) (Mon–Thurs), (Apply online only) (Fri) – flexible, 37 hours per week
