Press Brake Setter – Join a Progressive Manufacturing Team

Location: Chard Salary: £13.50 – £14.00 per hour Hours: 38 per week Contract: Full-time | Permanent Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Press Brake Operator to join a forward-thinking manufacturing company in Chard. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in producing precision-engineered metal components, working with modern machinery and technical specifications to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

Operate press brake machinery to bend, shape and form metal components

Set up machines, including tooling and adjustments, for specific jobs

Read and interpret engineering drawings to achieve required tolerances

Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency

Maintain equipment for safe and efficient operation

Collaborate with colleagues to meet production targets

Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times

Requirements

Previous experience operating and setting up press brake machines preferred (training available for the right candidate)

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work to precise measurements

Engineering background essential

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Good communication skills and proactive problem-solving approach

Physical stamina to meet the demands of the xjnqpsq role

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30

Friday: 08:00 – 14:00

Total: 38 hours per week
