Overview We are seeking dedicated and skilled Plastic Extrusion Operators to join our client s team in Nottingham. The primary responsibility of the Plastic Extrusion Operator will be to operate plastic extrusion and conversion equipment, specifically focusing on polythene lines. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of output while adhering to all safety and production guidelines.

Responsibilities Operate and monitor plastic extrusion and conversion equipment to ensure efficient and high–quality productionSet up and adjust machine settings to meet specific production requirementsConduct regular quality checks on the output to maintain product consistency and adherence to specificationsTroubleshoot operational issues and perform routine maintenance on equipment as neededAdhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environmentCommunicate effectively with the production team to ensure smooth workflow and timely production schedules Required Skills & Experience A proven track record of operating plastic extrusion OR conversion equipment, with a strong understanding of polythene lines (ESSENTIAL)Ability to set up and adjust machine settings to achieve specific production targetsStrong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high product qualityPrior experience in troubleshooting equipment issues and performing routine maintenanceKnowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environmentEffective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Day–to–day Operating plastic extrusion and conversion equipmentAdjusting machine settings to meet production requirementsPerforming quality checks and troubleshooting operational issuesConducting routine maintenance on equipmentCollaborating with the production team to ensure smooth workflow and timely schedules The shift times are 06:00–18:00 Monday to Thursday with a starting pay rate of GBP12.21 – GBP13.5/h (depending on skills & experience).
