Saw Operator

Our client is looking for a full-time production operator to take responsibility for operating a stone saw at their quarry in Clipsham. This role benefits from a competitive hourly rate and a shared production bonus scheme.

Main duties

Operate the Wire and Benetti SawPreparation of stone blocks for the sawStorage of cut stone for collectionLoad and unload vehicles as requiredComplete on the job training as requiredQuality checks of all Stone producedHusbandry of storage areas for stockPreventive maintenance of saw and forkliftComplete of all machinery daily checks including forkliftsSupport quarry operations as required

About you

A background in stone masonry or construction is not necessary as full training will be provided.

You will need to have:

Experience of working in production for a manufacturing company an advantageIdeally you’ll have worked in a construction-based business and be used to working outside and/or manual workForklift licence an advantage but all training can be providedAttention to detail to ensure high levels of qualityThe ability to communicate clearly

Our client provides all PPE required for the role.

Working hours are usually 7.30am to 4pm Monday to Friday, however, some flexibility may be required and extended hours may sometimes be necessary to meet deadlines (overtime is payable).
