Part-Time Food Production / Machine Operator

Pickles Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Part-Time Food Production / Machine Operator to join a busy food manufacturing business on a temporary-to-permanent basis.

We're looking for somebody who has previous experience operating a flow wrap machine or similar production/packaging machinery, with excellent attention to detail and a flexible approach to working hours.

This role would suit somebody who enjoys a hands-on position, can work confidently on their own initiative and is equally comfortable working as part of a team.

Hours, Pay & Contract

Hours: Minimum 24 hours per week

Working Hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm

Flexibility: Must be flexible to work additional hours depending on business requirements

Starting Pay: £12.71 per hour

Permanent Pay: £14.01 per hour

Contract: Temporary to Permanent Key Responsibilities

Operating and monitoring a flow wrap machine to ensure products are packaged efficiently and correctly.

Setting up, adjusting and maintaining machine settings to meet production requirements.

Ensuring products are wrapped, sealed and presented to the required quality standards.

Carrying out regular quality checks, identifying packaging defects and reporting any issues.

Monitoring machine performance and responding to minor operational issues.

Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.

Following food hygiene, health and safety and quality control procedures.

Working closely with colleagues to achieve daily production targets.

Managing individual workloads effectively when working independently.

Supporting other areas of production when required. What We're Looking For

Previous experience operating a flow wrap machine or similar production/packaging machinery is essential.

Experience working within food production or manufacturing is desirable.

Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.

Confident working both independently and as part of a team.

Reliable, punctual and hardworking with a positive attitude.

Able to follow instructions and work to established processes.

Flexible with working hours to accommodate changing business needs.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. The Opportunity
