Description
We are looking to recruit experienced Mechanical Engineers to join our growing team at our manufacturing facility in Howden. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast–paced, innovative environment.
You will work either on a rotating shift pattern covering mornings and afternoons.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out both planned and reactive maintenance across a range of machinery and equipment. Respond promptly and professionally to equipment breakdowns to minimise disruption to production. Undertake fault finding, including working with PLCs, and carry out repairs using your mechanical engineering skills. Conduct thorough root cause analysis to identify and resolve technical and process issues. Identify and implement improvements in safety, processes, and technology. Accurately record all maintenance activities using the CMMS (Shire System). Maintain a proactive and positive approach to supporting the success of the wider business. As part of your duties, you must ensure that you have read, understood, and comply with all Health & Safety policies and procedures, as outlined in our Integrated Management System (IMS).
Shift Pattern – Rotating Weekly
6.00am – 2.30pm / Monday to Friday (Week 1) 10.00am – 6.30pm / Monday to Friday (Week 2) About You
Essential:
A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering. Experience in a similar role within an industrial or manufacturing environment. Ability to remain calm and work efficiently under pressure. Good verbal and written communication skills. A proactive attitude towards continuous improvement. Desirable:
Experience working in the FMCG or woodworking manufacturing sector.
