Description
Our client has an opportunity for a Mechanical Inspector to join them on a contract basis for 12 months.
Role: Mechanical Inspector
Location: Bolton
Hours: 37 per week
Hourly Rate: 28.35 per hour via Umbrella, inside IR35
Clearance: BPSS required to start, full SC to follow
What you'll be doing:
Certify the product in line with the product certification procedureExamining for correct assemblyExamining the finish of all parts to detect faulty finishing or painting, deterioration of surfaces etc.Inspect for physical damageIntermediate inspection checks non product certificationMonitor product certification operatorsCheck and complete all paperwork associated with the manufacturing data packControl defect items via segregation from good productRaise and maintain relevant data records/defect reportsProduce relevant inspection/quality control documentation/history sheetsCare for and use specialised inspection toolsMaintain product certification and approval via regular auditsEnsure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing processEnsure inspection times are metPossess a versatile skill base with the capability to apply these skills across a range of tasksMaintain to the highest level, workmanship standards and product qualityMaintain a safe working environmentMaintain a good housekeeping policyWilling to contribute to an environment of process improvement.
Requirements:
Formal technical engineering/craft apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21or HNCSeveral years' experience as a skilled InspectorSignificant experience inspecting the work of other people is essentialIPC 610 certified / trained preferred.
