Mechanical Assembly Technician – Ringwood

TeamJobs are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Assembly Technician to join a specialist engineering and manufacturing company based in Ringwood.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong hands–on mechanical assembly and fitting experience who is confident working from engineering drawings and wants to join a skilled manufacturing environment

Mechanical and electro–mechanical assembly of specialist equipmentWorking from engineering drawings, build instructions and Bills of Materials (BOMs)Fitting components including frames, pipework, pumps, valves, instrumentation and machined partsCarrying out drilling, tapping, cutting and general bench assemblyInstalling and aligning mechanical componentsUsing hand tools, power tools and measuring equipmentCarrying out basic functional testingIdentifying build issues, drawing discrepancies and quality concernsCompleting quality and production documentation What We're Looking For:

Previous mechanical assembly experience within manufacturing or engineeringConfident reading and interpreting engineering drawingsStrong mechanical fitting and practical engineering skillsExperience using hand tools, power tools and measuring equipmentExcellent attention to detailGood understanding of Health & Safety within a workshop environment Experience with electro–mechanical assembly, hydraulics, pneumatics, process pipework or mechanical fault finding would be an advantage. An apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or similar mechanical engineering qualification would also be beneficial.
