Description
I am currently recruiting for a Production Co-Ordinator for a leading manufacturing business based in Irvine.
Reporting directly to the Production Manager you will play a key role in the planning, coordination and delivery of manufactured products. This position is central to ensuring production schedules and delivery programmes run efficiently, accurately and in line with customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery Programme Management
* Manage and update weekly and daily haulage programmes
* Coordinate manufacturing and cutting activities across production lines
* Ensure all works orders and backorders are prepared, sequenced correctly, and checked twice daily for accuracy
* Maintain and update the live manufacturing schedule to reflect production status
* Liaise with internal stakeholders to communicate progress and resolve issues
* Dispatch production orders, ensuring completed loads meet quality standards and photographic records are stored appropriately
* Produce forward outlook reports to identify demand increases, ensuring labour is balanced across shifts and escalating where additional resource is required
System & Planning Oversight
* Act as Subject Matter Expert for the internal production planning system
* Load job orders and ensure system priorities align with manufacturing requirements
* Implement system updates and improvements
* Coordinate production planning activities across automated manufacturing lines
* Ensure all compliance and drawing documentation is issued with dispatched loads
Deviation & Continuous Improvement
* Investigate production deviations and conduct root cause analysis
* Implement effective corrective and preventative actions

* Train and coach production teams on improvement initiatives
About You
* Experience in a production coordination / planning
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving
* Comfortable working with production planning or ERP systems
