Manufacturing & Machine Operative – Temp to Perm

Stroud, Gloucestershire

Up to 16.00 per hour – dependent on experience

Monday to Thursday 6:30am – 4:00pm

4–Day Working Week – Every Friday Off!

Temp to Perm Full Training Provided

We're recruiting Production Operatives / Coil Winders to join a well–established and successful manufacturer based in Stroud.

You don't need previous coil winding experience. If you have a background in assembly, production, engineering or hands–on manufacturing, the company will provide the specialist training you need.

And with pay of up to 16 per hour, a four–day working week and a genuine temp–to–perm opportunity, there's plenty to like about this one!

What will you actually be doing?

As a Manufacturing Operative, you'll be trained to manufacture specialist components where quality, accuracy and attention to detail really matter.

It's a varied, hands–on role that will include:

Setting and programming machinery to produce precision copper coilsWinding different gauges of copper wire onto componentsWorking with small and intricate partsCarrying out electrical testing and quality inspectionsSoldering, crimping and moulding componentsUsing hand tools and specialist production equipmentFollowing technical drawings and detailed work instructionsChecking your finished work to ensure it meets quality standardsAccurately recording completed production work using company systemsThis is precision manufacturing rather than high–speed production, so it will really suit someone who enjoys concentrating on a task and takes pride in producing high–quality work.

Who are we looking for?

You could be a great fit if you have previous experience within assembly, manufacturing, production or a similar hands–on environment.

We're particularly interested in people who:

Have excellent attention to detailHave good manual dexterity and enjoy practical workAre comfortable working with small or intricate componentsCan confidently use basic hand toolsCan follow technical drawings and written instructionsHave basic IT skillsTake pride in the quality of their workAre reliable, patient and willing to learn something newAn overhead crane licence would be an advantage, but it's certainly not essential.
