Job Title: Factory Operative (Short-Term / Cleaning & Support)

Location: Leicester

Hours: Working Hours

* Monday to Friday

* 8:00am - 1:00pm (with a 15-minute break from 10:00am - 10:15am)

* 23.75 hours per week

Pay: £12.71

A Leicester-based precision engineering company is seeking a reliable and hardworking Factory Operative for a short-term assignment. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable with physically demanding work and available for an immediate start.

The Role

You will be supporting the shopfloor with essential cleaning and maintenance duties, helping to keep machinery and the factory environment running safely and efficiently. xjnqpsq The work will involve machine cleaning, general factory cleaning, and swarf handling, and will require a hands-on, practical approach.

Key Responsibilities

* Cleaning production machinery and surrounding work areas

* Handling and disposing of swarf and waste materials

* Maintaining general cleanliness across the factory

* Supporting the wider team with basic shopfloor tasks as needed

* Following health & safety procedures at all times

About You

* Comfortable with heavy, physically demanding work

* Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

* Previous factory or industrial experience is beneficial but not essential
