Due to continued growth and investment, they are looking for an experienced leader to take ownership of machining, assembly, and workshop operations while driving performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the shop floor.

What you ll be doing:Leading day–to–day operations across the machine shop, CNC machining, assembly, and manufacturing departmentsManaging production schedules, machine loading, workflow, and resource planning to hit delivery targetsDriving shop floor performance through KPI management, productivity improvements, and operational efficiencySupporting and developing team leaders, machinists, operators, and production staffIdentifying opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, and cost savingsWorking closely with engineering, quality, procurement, and stores teams to maintain smooth production flowEnsuring high standards across quality, health & safety, and manufacturing performanceSupporting capacity planning, workflow optimisation, and continuous improvement initiativesPlaying a key role in shaping the future growth and performance of the manufacturing operationWhat they re looking for:Previous experience as a Machine Shop Manager, Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Workshop Manager, or Operations ManagerStrong background within CNC machining, precision engineering, or manufacturing environmentsExperience leading machining or workshop teams within a fast–paced production environmentKnowledge of CNC machining processes, production planning, and manufacturing operationsExperience managing KPIs, delivery performance, efficiencies, and shop floor operationsFamiliarity with ERP/MRP systems and production reportingStrong leadership, communication, and problem–solving skillsA proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellenceWhy join?Opportunity to join a growing precision engineering business with strong long–term stabilityHands–on leadership role with real influence across manufacturing operationsSupportive and collaborative engineering environmentInvestment in people, production, and continuous improvementExcellent opportunity to grow your career within a modern machining and manufacturing businessThis role could suit candidates from backgrounds including:
