Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting Machine Operators on behalf of a manufacturing client based in Wellington, near Taunton, Somerset.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Machine Operators, Production Operatives, Manufacturing Operatives, Machine Operatives, and Production Technicians looking to join a growing manufacturer offering structured training, career progression, and the opportunity to secure a permanent position.

What We Offer

Starting pay of £13.34 per hour.

Pay increases during training, rising to £17.26 per hour when fully trained.

All breaks paid.

Monday to Friday, rotating shifts:

6am-2pm.

2pm-10pm.

40-hour working week.

Temporary to permanent opportunity.

33 days' holiday after 12 weeks.

Structured training programme and clear career progression.

Pay reviews and overtime enhancements.

Weekly pay.

Key Duties

Operate and programme production machinery.

Manually handle and filter materials through machines.

Top up chemical and fluid levels on machinery.

Change tooling to manufacture different products.

Fault-find and resolve production issues to maintain workflow.

Work across a variety of machines and production tasks.

Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment.

Requirements

Willingness to work in a physically demanding and noisy manufacturing environment (hearing protection provided).

Reliable, motivated, and able to work with a high level of attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively as part of a small production team.

Basic mechanical understanding is beneficial.
