Description
We are looking for a skilled or semi-skilled Machine Operator to join our client's manufacturing team in Corby.
This role involves working with milling and grinding machines to produce high-quality, precision components.
This is a great opportunity for someone with machining experience who is looking to develop their skills further within a supportive and hands-on environment.
Pay: GBP28,392.00 - GBP33,462.00 per year (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate milling and grinding machines to produce precision componentsRead and interpret technical drawings and specificationsAdjust machine settings and tooling to achieve accurate resultsCarry out basic quality checks using measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometersPerform routine machine maintenance and report any faults or issuesUse hand and power tools to assist with setup and finishing processesMaintain a clean and organised working environment in line with health and safety standardsAccurately record production and quality dataRequirements:
Previous experience operating milling, grinding, or similar machineryAbility to read and understand engineering drawingsGood attention to detail and commitment to qualityBasic knowledge of measuring tools and inspection techniquesA positive attitude and willingness to learnDesirable (not essential):
Experience with Jones & Shipman grinders or Bridgeport milling machinesFamiliarity with CNC or CAD/SolidWorksWorking Hours:
