Description
Role: Machine Operatives
Location: Sudbury, Suffolk
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 06:30 - 17:00
Pay: £13.00 - £15.50+ p/hour (DOE)
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
We are currently recruiting for Machine Operatives to join a well-established manufacturing business in Sudbury. This is a fantastic opportunity for hands-on candidates with manufacturing, fabrication, or assembly experience looking to join a skilled and supportive production team.
We are looking for candidates across two areas of production:
Brake Press Operator Duties:
Operating brake press machinery to bend and form sheet metal components
Setting and adjusting machines to meet job specifications
Working from engineering drawings and production instructions
Measuring finished components to ensure accuracy and quality standards
Carrying out general fabrication and sheet metal duties as requiredSpot Welding / Pemserting Operator Duties:
Operating spot welding and pemserting equipment to assemble sheet metal components
Reading and working from engineering drawings and work instructions
Positioning and securing components ready for welding or insertion
Carrying out quality checks on finished products
Using hand tools and supporting general assembly dutiesWho are we looking for?
Previous experience within manufacturing, fabrication, or assembly environments
Experience with brake press machinery, spot welding, or pemserting would be advantageous
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
Confident xjnqpsq using hand tools and measuring equipment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team
