Hours: Mon – Fri, 08:00 – 17:00

Pertemps are proud to be recruiting for a leading manufacturer and distributor of premium protection products. With decades of success and industry recognition, they are now seeking a Machine & Factory Operative to join their established production team in Exeter.

The Role:

As a Machine & Factory Operative, you’ll be an integral part of the production process, ensuring products are manufactured, processed, and dispatched to the highest standards. Your key responsibilities will include:

Operating manufacturing machinery.

Preparing pallets for dispatch and processing orders.

Picking and packing orders from order sheets.

Loading/unloading stock from vehicles.

Stock control – including rotation, goods-in, dispatch, and stock checks.

Following production processes and quality control procedures.

Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised warehouse environment.

Supporting with general duties such as assembly and cleaning.

About You:

We’re looking for someone with a proactive approach and strong attention to detail. You’ll need to bring:

Previous experience (minimum 2 years) in a manufacturing/production role.

A valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential).

Reach forklift or scissor lift licence (preferred but not essential).

Excellent accuracy, organisational and time management skills.

Strong teamwork, communication, and a ‘can-do’ attitude.

The ability to work on your feet for long periods and carry out manual handling tasks.

Flexibility to work under pressure and meet targets.

An interest in mechanical engineering (advantageous, but not essential).

Competitive starting pay: £12.25 – £14.00 per hour (skills & experience dependent).

Pay increases following successful probation and training.

Consistent full-time hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:00.
