Description

To assist the provision of health, safety and environment advice and best practice at the Accelera Milton Keynes site, administer and support risk assessment programmes, support training and internal audits.

Description

Training

– Deliver company safety and environmental induction training to new starters, and to other nominated persons

– Deliver health and safety toolbox talks across the full spectrum of the workforce

– Develop and update toolbox talks

– Maintain site HSE training matrix up to date

Risk assessment

– Assist with the implementation of the risk assessment programme

– Assist with the communication and training of risk assessment findings and controls

– Assist departments in completing risk assessments

Corporate, business unit and site objectives, initiatives and targets

– Maintain confidentiality and appropriate recordkeeping standards in line with corporate data protection and retention requirements

– Assist with the implementation, site wide, or the corporate, business unit and site objectives, and targets

– Assist with the communication and training of corporate objectives and initiatives

– Support health, safety, environment and wellbeing initiatives

COSHH programme and 3E / SYPOL database

– Assist with the implementation, site wide, of the COSHH assessment programme, using the SYPOL database

– Maintain the 3E database to ensure that contained MSDS and SYPOL assessments are complete and current

Enablon

– Assist with keeping Enablon modules up to date – Incident Management System,

Regulatory Compliance Management

– Track actions identified to closure raised in Enablon

Ergonomics and DSE

– Assist in completing Ergonomic assessments

– Assist with tracking DSE assessments completion through Ergopoint tool

Health Surveillance

– Assist in arranging employee health surveillance

– Maintain health surveillance tracker up to date

Site Internal Audit Programme

– Assist with the annual safety and environmental legal compliance audit

– Track actions identified to closure

Accident, incident and near hit investigation

– Assist with COMET investigations

– Track actions identified to closure

Legislation

– Assist HSE Leader in identification of HSE legal requirements

– Assist HSE Leader in demonstration of HSE legal compliance across the full spectrum of the workforce

Environment

– Assist in the environmental activities at the siteProfile

A successful HSE Technician should have:

– Degree, HNC or equivalent level of education

– NEBOSH General Certificate, or equivalent in Occupational Safety and Health

– Experience of health, safety or environment in a manufacturing environment

– Positive attitude towards health, safety and environment and asset protection

– Understanding the requirements of a world–class safety performance

– Strong interpersonal skills at all levels

Job Offer
