Job Title: HGV Body Builder
Overview
I am recruiting on behalf of my client, a well–established manufacturer within the waste management sector, who is seeking a skilled and reliable individual to join their production team. This is a hands–on role based in their facility, focused on building new refuse collection equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience using power tools, a basic understanding of fixings and fasteners, and must supply their own hand tools (e.g., spanners, sockets
Key Responsibilities
Assemble new HGV equipment to specificationFit and secure mechanical and hydraulic componentsRead and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructionsUse hand and power tools to complete builds accuratelyConduct quality checks to ensure high standardsAssist with installation of electrical wiring and lighting systems (if applicable)Collaborate with team members to meet production targetsReport faults or issues to supervisorsMaintain a clean and work areaAdhere to health and safety Support continuous improvement initiativesAssist with stock control and inventory of parts and tools Benefits
