Overview

I am recruiting on behalf of my client, a well-established manufacturer within the waste management sector, who is seeking a skilled and reliable individual to join their production team. This is a hands-on role based in their facility, focused on building new refuse collection equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience using power tools, a basic understanding of fixings and fasteners, and must supply their own hand tools (e.g., spanners, sockets

Key Responsibilities

Assemble new HGV equipment to specification

Fit and secure mechanical and hydraulic components

Read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions

Use hand and power tools to complete builds accurately

Conduct quality checks to ensure high standards

Assist with installation of electrical wiring and lighting systems (if applicable)

Collaborate with team members to meet production targets

Report faults or issues to supervisors

Maintain a clean and work area

Adhere to health and safety

Support continuous improvement initiatives

Assist with stock control and inventory of parts and tools
