Join us as Service Apprentice and take your first step into a rewarding career in engineering. We’re looking for individuals who are motivated, curious, and passionate about developing their skills within the heavy plant industry. No previous

experience is required — just a willingness to learn, work hard, and grow within a team of experienced professionals.

Job Description:

You must have a driving license and to have held this for a minimum of 1 year.

We offer a 2 year Apprenticeship, depending on recognised prior learning, where you will be supported to work alongside our workshop engineers to carry out planned service work only. Your apprenticeship will focus exclusively on machine servicing and preventative maintenance activities.

You will attend training blocks at 2 years, leading to an SVQ Level 2 SCQF 5 Plant Mechanic qualification. The training is carried out at NCCS, Inchinnan. Some of the course work is contracted out to West College Scotland Paisley.

CIthroughout your apprenticeship to gain the necessary knowledge, skills, and behaviours for your apprenticeship standard. These blocks can be 1,2,4 or 6 weeks long. You will then apply those new knowledge and skills in your branch workplace.

Apprenticeship duration can be reduced for applicants with recognised prior learning in the industry sector. This will be determined during the initial assessment process.

What you can expect:

During your apprenticeship you will develop skills in fundamentals, maintenance, and repair.

Carry out planned maintenance and servicing activities.

Complete commercial assessments and field inspections.

Check and record all parts and materials required for preparation work

Education:

Scotland applicants - hold qualifications in both English and Maths at National (N5) Grade 5 or above. xjnqpsq
