Health & Safety Advisor

Location: Eye, Suffolk

Job type: Full – time , Permanent

Salary: £30,000

Alexander Steele is partnering with a leading food manufacturing business experiencing significant growth. They are seeking a dedicated and motivated Health & Safety Advisor to join their expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a developing professional looking to build a long-term career in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Working closely with the Head of Health, Safety and Environment, the successful candidate will play a key role in risk management, process safety improvement, and ensuring a positive culture of health and safety compliance across the site. The position offers excellent scope for career progression, including further training and professional development in the health and safety discipline.

Key Responsibilities

* Support with risk assessments and ensure compliance with health & safety legislation.

* Conduct and participate in audits, inspections, and improvement initiatives.

* Advise on safe working practices during new equipment commissioning.

* Help develop training materials and maintain safety documentation.

* Organise Health & Safety meetings, track actions and report on KPIs.

* Assist with investigations into incidents and ensure timely follow-ups.

* Act as a key contact for internal and external HSE-related queries.

* Coordinate training sessions and maintain accurate records.

* Stay up to date with relevant health & safety regulations and best practices.

Skills & Experience

* NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety

* IT literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office

* Strong attention to detail and accurate work ethic

* Analytical and solutions-focused approach

* Enthusiastic and keen to develop professionally, with a view to further HSE qualifications
