Job Title: Graduate Chemical Engineer (12-Month FTC)

Location: On-site

Contract: Full-time, Fixed-Term (12 Months)

Our client is a leading manufacturer of aerosol and bag-on-valve products, serving diverse sectors including personal care, healthcare, veterinary, automotive, and more. They're offering a unique opportunity for a Graduate Chemical Engineer to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This role is ideal for a recent graduate looking to gain practical industry experience and exposure to high-impact projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Be Doing HAZOP & Process Safety Support

Assist in planning and documenting Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) studies

Contribute to the development of HAZID and HAZOP procedures and documentation

Support risk assessments and follow-up actions

Prepare and update P&IDs, site maps, and layout drawingsEngineering & Technical Projects

Support process development and continuous improvement initiatives

Help prepare technical documentation, reports, and SOPs

Collect and analyse data for engineering and safety studies

Collaborate with Engineering, Technical, and HSE teams on practical solutionsGeneral Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies

Maintain accurate records and contribute to regular project updates

Proactively engage in learning and professional development What We’re Looking For:

BSc or MSc in Chemical Engineering or related discipline

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Analytical mindset and problem-solving ability

Basic knowledge of chemical hazards and Safety Data Sheets (SDS)

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

A genuine interest in process safety and industrial operationsDesirable:

Previous experience with HAZID/HAZOP (e.g. through a placement)
