Graduate Design Engineer – Water Treatment

Description

Design Engineer required for a manufacturer based in Cheddar. We offer an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member, you will be responsible for producing P&IDs, layouts, and general arrangement drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD Lite, while contributing to the development of a 3D library for standard plant items.

Produce drawings in a timely manner and with attention to detail on behalf of the projecting teamDevelop 3D library for standard plant itemsLiaising with clients on design details – quality control/validation of manufactured designsCreate detailed manufacturing drawings to assist fabrication including general arrangements, part drawings, developments, and templatesProduce piping and steelwork fabrication drawings in the form of Isometrics, general arrangements, and orthographicReview & check detailed design drawings of piping systems, supports and steelwork in accordance with industry standards, codes and client specificationsPrepare & check bill of materialsProvide technical input during detailed engineering of projectsProvide support and input into the preparation of manufacturing work packs

Mechanical Design Engineer Job Requirements

Excellent working knowledge of SolidWorks, accredited in CSWP/CSWE is beneficialA good understanding of 2D CAD packages i.e. AutoCAD is desirableIdeally experience of piping, engineering, water treatment, filtration and tanks and vesselsAttention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Mechanical Design Engineer Salary & Benefits

Salary dependent on experience Profit Share bonus23 days holiday plus bank holidaysPension40 hour week
