Goods In / Despatch Team Leader

Wednesbury, West Midlands

£34,000- £37,000

Mon- Fri 8am- 5pm

As Goods In / Despatch Team Leader you will oversee the efficient and timely dispatch of finished

goods to customers across the UK. You will lead a team responsible for packaging,

labelling, logistics coordination, and documentation, ensuring high standards of

accuracy, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage daily despatch operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of

goods.

* Coordinate with production, quality control, and customer service to align

dispatch schedules.

* Oversee packaging and labelling processes to meet customer and regulatory

requirements.

* Liaise with courier and freight providers to optimise delivery routes and costs.

* Maintain accurate records of shipments, delivery notes, and tracking

information.

* Implement and monitor KPIs for despatch performance and customer

satisfaction.

* Ensure compliance with ISO9001:2015 standards and health & safety

regulations.

* Lead, train, and motivate the despatch team to maintain high performance.

* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce

errors.

Skills & Experience

* Proven experience in a despatch, logistics, or warehouse role.

* Strong leadership and team management skills.

* Excellent organisational and communication abilities.

* Familiarity with barcode systems and inventory software.

* Knowledge of transport regulations and logistics best practices.

* Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment preferred.

* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
