Jelly Technical is recruiting on behalf of a well–established food manufacturer near Bath for an experienced Food Technologist to support the business during a key period of activity. This is a hybrid contract role offering flexibility alongside hands–on technical involvement within a fast–paced food manufacturing environment.
The contract is expected to run for 3 to 4 months.
Additional details include:
Hybrid working model (remote working up to 4 days out of 5 per week).Immediate or short–notice start required.Opportunity to work on active NPD, and technical improvement projects.Exposure to a high–standard food manufacturing operation.As an Interim Food Technologist, your key responsibilities will include:
Supporting NPD projects from concept through to launch.Create, review and manage specifications for raw materials.Ensuring compliance with food safety, quality, legality and customer standards.Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders including suppliers and customers.Artwork & labelling approval. What You'll Bring:
Proven experience in a food technologist or similar technical role within food manufacturingStrong understanding of supplier / raw materials management.Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise critical actions.Confident communicator with a practical, solutions–focused approach.Experience across chilled, ambient or short shelf–life products would be advantageous.
