About the Role
We are looking for an experienced FLT Counterbalance Operative to join a busy food manufacturing and distribution site in Tameside.
This is not a full–time truck role the FLT will be used for around 50% of the shift, with the remaining time spent on general warehouse duties, manual handling, pump–truck work, and movement of stock on the production floor.
Key Responsibilities
Operating an in–date FLT Counterbalance safely and efficiently Loading, unloading, and transferring stock around the site Using pump trucks and manual handling equipment Supporting production and warehouse teams with stock movement General picking, packing, palletising and line support where needed Completing stock rotation and basic inventory checks Maintaining a clean and safe working environment Following site H&S, hygiene and food–safety procedures at all times Requirements
Valid & in–date FLT Counterbalance licence (essential) Recent experience operating an FLT in a warehouse or manufacturing environment Comfortable working in a mixed role (50% FLT / 50% manual warehouse duties) Physically fit and able to move stock, lift items and support production Experience in food manufacturing or food environments preferred Able to commit to a 4–on–4–off shift rotation Strong work ethic, reliability and good attention to detail Benefits

Someone confident on an FLT but who also enjoys being on their feet, helping the warehouse, jumping on production lines when needed, and getting stuck in with the team.
