Fabricator Welder

Description

We are seeking an experienced Plater / Welder and Fabricator to join a busy and skilled engineering team. This hands–on role will involve working from detailed fabrication drawings to produce high–quality structural steel components for projects across construction, manufacturing, and heavy industry sectors.

To be considered for the role, you ll require the following essentials:

Proven experience as a Plater / Welder and Fabricator within a structural steel or heavy fabrication environmentProficient in MIG welding; TIG/MMA skills advantageousCompetent in reading and interpreting detailed technical drawingsStrong understanding of fabrication processes, materials, and tolerancesAbility to work independently or as part of a teamGood attention to detail and commitment to qualityPhysically fit and able to handle heavy materials safely Within this position, you ll also be:

Read and interpret complex engineering and fabrication drawings accuratelyMark out, cut, drill, and prepare steel sections ready for fabricationPlate heavy steel components ensuring precise alignment and tolerancesPerform high–quality MIG welding (TIG and MMA welding experience an advantage)Use a variety of tools and machinery including grinders, guillotines, and pressesCheck finished work against specifications to ensure accuracy and complianceWork to production deadlines while maintaining quality standardsFollow all health and safety procedures, including PPE use and safe workshop practices Desirable Skills of the Plater / Welder and Fabricator role:
