PCB Operative - Surface Mount

Location: SouthendJob Type: Full-time Temporary for a minimum of 3 monthsHours: Day shift Our client is seeking a skilled PCB Operative with Surface Mount experience to join their dynamic production team. The main purpose of this role is to program and operate the Surface Mount Machine to produce PCBs in accordance with job specifications, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency. Candidates with surface mount soldering experience will also be considered.

Day-to-day of the role:

Interpret and understand the Job Card/Specification for each project.Program the Surface Mount Machine according to the job/specification requirements.Coordinate with the Quality/Compliance Manager and/or the Quality Technician to test the first new job run, ensuring it meets the required specifications before commencing full production.Supervise the Surface Mount Department, ensuring smooth operation and adherence to production schedules.Place and fix component parts onto PCBs using the Surface Mount Machine, continually monitoring the process to maintain high quality standards.Carry out additional duties relevant to the role as needed. Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience working with PCBs and component parts.Ability to understand job cards and job specifications.Knowledge of surface mount machine techniques.Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.Ability to work in an orderly and tidy manner.Capable of working at a consistent and even pace.Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
