Description

Our client, a leading manufacturer within the marine sector, is seeking an experienced Composite Laminator (Secondary Bonding) to join their growing production team in Berinsfield on a permanent basis.

Cut and prepare reinforcement and core materials for composite manufactureCarry out secondary bonding activities and structural component installationApply gelcoat using brush and spray techniquesUndertake wet lamination processes, including resin mixing, fibre lay–up and consolidationRepair and finish gelcoat surfaces where requiredInterpret laminate drawings and specifications to ensure accurate productionSupport finishing and production teams through effective preparation of componentsTrim, grind and prepare demoulded components for further assembly

Job Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess:

Previous experience within a composites manufacturing environmentStrong knowledge of wet lamination and secondary bonding processesExperience working with GRP materials and composite structuresAbility to interpret engineering drawings and production documentationExcellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standardsStrong communication and problem–solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative teamA proactive and organised approach to workStrong work ethic with the ability to meet production deadlines

Desirable Experience:

Experience in GRP boat–building or marine manufacturingKnowledge of open moulding techniquesProcess control experience within a manufacturing environmentPrevious experience mentoring or training junior team membersExperience working within a high–quality production setting
