6-Month Fixed-Term Contract

We are seeking a skilled and detail-focused General Coating Operative to join our advanced manufacturing team. Reporting to the Coating Cell Team Leader, you will be responsible for pre- and post-coating operations, ensuring products meet exacting quality and safety standards.

Hours:

37.5 per week (including breaks):

Mon–Thu: 6:00am–2:00pm

Fri: 6:00am–11:30am

Key Responsibilities of a Coating Operative

Prepare products for coating in line with production schedules, following all relevant work instructions and quality specifications.

Carry out post-coating and finishing operations, ensuring full compliance with specifications.

Identify and report any areas of non-conformance, keeping accurate records and escalating issues when needed.

Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised work environment, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.

Adapt to different areas of the coating department to meet production demand.

Learn new skills and contribute to training colleagues.

Undertake basic machine maintenance in line with current practices.

Perform other reasonable duties as directed by supervisors or management.

Person Profile of a Coating Operative:

Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.

Committed to high productivity and quality output.

Methodical approach with a strong attention to detail.

Willingness to learn and develop expertise, with the ability to share knowledge with others.

Maintenance experience advantageous but not essential.

Contract & Benefits

6-month fixed term (with 3-month probation period).

Annual salary: £23,909
