CNC Setter Operator

Redruth Aerospace / Machine Shop Permanent Competitive Hourly Rate

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is proud to be working in partnership with Pall Redruth, a world–leading manufacturer in the aerospace and industrial engineering sectors. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled CNC Setter Operator to join a forward–thinking organisation renowned for precision engineering, technical innovation, and manufacturing excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Set and operate CNC machines in line with engineering drawings, planning sheets, and quality standards.

Ensure machining operations meet production targets and agreed cycle times.

Maintain consistent quality output, ensuring all components are machined to precise specifications.

Adhere to all safe working practices, using safety guards and PPE provided.

Work collaboratively with colleagues across Fabrication and Machine Shop departments.

Support wider production requirements and departmental objectives.

Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth workflow and quality control.

Requirements

ONC/HNC or equivalent craftsman–level qualification.

Competent in the use of CNC machine tools, measuring instruments, and inspection procedures.

Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and process documentation.

At least 3 years' experience within a CNC machining or precision engineering environment.

Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and problem–solving skills.

Flexible and self–motivated, with the ability to work a three–shift rotating pattern.

Strong awareness of health, safety, and environmental procedures.
