CNC Programmer
Location: Cambridge
Pay Rate: Up to £30.00 per hour Ltd
Job Type: Contract
Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday 8:00am - 4:30pm Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm
Our client is a well-established precision engineering company serving the Aerospace and Defence sectors.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and steadily expanding business, producing high-precision components for demanding industries where quality and accuracy are paramount.
Key Responsibilities – CNC Programmer
Programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines.
Manufacturing precision-engineered components to tight tolerances.
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
Carrying out in-process inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
Making tooling and offset adjustments as required.
Maintaining high standards of safety, quality and housekeeping.
Working closely with the production team to meet customer deadlines.
Essential Requirements – CNC Programmer
Proven experience as a CNC Turner.
Ability to independently programme, set and operate CNC lathes.
Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerances.
Experience machining complex components to tight tolerances.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Desirable Experience – CNC Programmer
Experience with Matsuura, Haas or Doosan machines.
Knowledge of Fanuc controls.
Experience operating Twin-Spindle Lathes.
Previous experience within the Aerospace or Defence sectors.
