Elevation Recruitment are working on behalf of a Derbyshire based manufacturer to recruit a Toolroom CNC Milling Machinist for a site-based role within a busy production environment. SHIFT: 4 on, 4 off, 06:00 - 18:00SALARY: GBP19.96 p/hr

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will programme, set and operate CNC milling machines while supporting the manufacture, repair and improvement of tooling for extrusion and injection moulding processes.

Program CNC milling machines using Powermill softwareSet, run and adjust CNC milling machinesMonitor machine output and performanceMaintain extrusion tools, dies and fixturesWork to tight quality tolerancesSupport improvements to tool designImprove efficiency and reduce wasteInvestigate and resolve tooling faultsRead and follow technical drawingsManufacture tooling parts and componentsREQUIREMENTS:

Experience with CNC milling machines or similarKnowledge of Powermill or similar softwareLevel 3 Engineering qualification or equivalentToolmaking or mechanical apprenticeship backgroundAble to work well independentlyStrong skills in precision machiningA proactive approach to problem solvingConfident reading technical drawingsExperience working with 3D modelsMaterial knowledge would be an advantageIf this role is of interest please click apply or contact Amy for more information
