Description
CNC Millers (CNC Machinists) - Permanent
Join an expanding UK manufacturing business machining precision components, often large parts in a range of materials. This is a long-term, permanent opportunity with premium-rate overtime readily available, plus a strong benefits package. If you can set, operate and make basic program edits, training can be provided on specific controls.
The role
You'll be setting and operating CNC milling machines and machining centres, producing high-quality parts to drawing and tolerance.
Key responsibilities
Set up (set and operate) CNC mills / machining centres to produce precision components
Make basic CNC program adjustments/edits as required
Read and interpret engineering drawings to confirm machining requirements
Select and fit cutting tools, fixtures and work-holding devices
Monitor machining processes to maintain quality and productivity
Carry out basic inspections (visual and dimensional) to verify tolerances
Identify and troubleshoot issues to minimise downtime
Maintain a clean, safe and organised work areaWhat we're looking for
Previous experience as a CNC Miller / CNC Machinist in a manufacturing environment
Confident reading engineering drawings and working to tight tolerances
Understanding of cutting tools, fixtures and work-holding xjnqpsq
Basic inspection capability (e.g., verniers, micrometers, gauges)
Knowledge of GD&T is beneficial
Good attention to detail, communication and teamworkWhat's on offer
