Our client is rapidly growing engineering company, specialising in machining and heat treatment.

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting, operating, and programming CNC milling machines to produce high–quality precision components to tight tolerances

Package:

20 days holiday plus bankContractual profit sharing scheme40 hour working week with early finish on Fridays (6:30am – 3:30pm Monday to Thursday, 12:30pm finish Fridays)Hourly rate 14.50 – 18.50 per hour (DOE)CNC Miller – Responsibilities:

Set up, operate, and program CNC milling machinesRead and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specificationsSelect appropriate tooling, fixtures, and machining strategiesCarry out first–off inspections and in–process quality checks using precision measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, CMM, etc.)Make necessary program edits and adjustments to optimise machining processesEnsure components are manufactured to tight tolerances and customer specificationsWork closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve issues and improve processesAdhere to all health and safety regulations and company proceduresSupport continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiativesCNC Miller – Requirements:

Proven experience as a CNC Miller in a precision engineering environmentRelevant qualification – Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering / CNC Machining, NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in EngineeringStrong ability to work from and interpret engineering drawingsCompetent in the use of precision measuring equipmentGood understanding of machining techniques, materials, and toolingAbility to work to tight tolerances and high–quality standardsExperience working with one–off and small batch production
