Halifax Salary 31,616 PA

Days – 38 Hours Per Week

Mon–Thurs 7:00am–3:30pm Fri 7:00am–1:00pm

Are you an experienced CNC Milling Setter Operator looking for a permanent days role with overtime opportunities and early Friday finishes?

We're recruiting for a well–established precision engineering company in Halifax that is looking to add a skilled CNC Milling Setter Operator to its growing machining team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and motivated CNC Milling Setter Operator to join a busy, supportive, and modern engineering environment producing high–quality precision components.

The Role

As a CNC Milling Setter Operator, you'll be responsible for:

Setting & operating CNC Vertical Milling Machines

Loading fixtures, vices & work holding equipment

Installing & adjusting tooling

Uploading & verifying CNC programmes

Carrying out tool offsets & minor edits

Producing components to tight tolerances

Completing in–process quality inspections

This role would suit a hands–on CNC Milling Setter Operator who takes pride in producing quality work and enjoys working within a precision engineering environment.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience as a CNC Milling Setter Operator

Strong understanding of CNC machining principles

Ability to read engineering drawings confidently

Experience using measuring equipment & gauges

Excellent attention to detail

Ability to work independently & within a team

Desirable Skills

Heidenhain controls experience

Minor programme editing experience

Precision engineering background
