CNC Machinist, Programmer, Setter/Operator – GL2 area of Gloucester – Permanent – Upto 45,000 depending on experience – Monday to Friday 8am til 4.30pm – Interviewing ASAP

Exciting opportunity has arisen with my Client for an experienced CNC Programmer, Setter/Operator. They are a successful Engineering company that are offering a stable and lucrative career in their machine shop. They require a CNC Programmer, to programme, set and operate Turning machines with Fanuc control systems.

The candidate will be responsible for understanding engineering drawings, Setting and Operating from scratch using Fanuc, selecting tooling, setting and operating the CNC machinery. You will be involved in producing batch work and one offs for Medical, Automotive, Aerospace and Marine Industries.

Responsible for

Set and operate Fanuc controlled CNC Turning MachinesWork from engineering and engineering drawingsProgram and edit machinesWorking with various materials and loading machinesEngineering parts to specified tolerance and quality standardsQuality checking own work using micrometers and verniers Being a valued member of a small team and helping each other when required

The successful Machinist need to have:

The ability to program, set, and operate CNC Lathe is advantageousBe used to working with tight tolerances with varied materialsBe able to interpret engineering drawings and use various measuring equipmentBe enthusiastic with a can–do attitudeHave excellent organisational skills with the ability to deliver on time, and proactivelyAble to work as part of a team and stand alone when required
