Headley have a live vacancy with a bespoke manufacturer offering an interesting, rewarding and progressive career opportunity.

The company itself is a bespoke manufacturer of a wide range of end projects.

We are seeking an experienced CNC machinist, wood machinist – programmer, who has the willingness, ability and ambition to develop skills in CAD design, producing working drawings for the shop floor. Any working exposure to CAD software packages such as Solidworks, Autodesk Inventor, Autocad or other is helpful, but training and development will be offered.

This is a rare opportunity to gain technical skills and experience to further your future career.

Essential is confident knowledge of using Alphacam software to programme the CNC router (Morbidelli), being comfortable with technical drawings and the ambition to progress your career.

Key duties to include:

* Using Alphacam, programme CNC router in manufacture of joinery items for bespoke displays.

* Working in close conjunction with teams in Design and Manufacturing to understand and promote best practice.

* Maintenance of cutting lists, programmes and technical documentation

* Selecting tooling

* Best use of materials

This will comprise perhaps 75% of the working week.

The rest of time:

* Using CAD software, produce working technical drawings for the shop floor. xjnqpsq

* Working with other Design Department members to better learn and understand CAD software and its use

* Training and support offered as you learn the CAD element of the job.

Experience required:

* Alphacam knowledge programming CNC routers is essential

* Experience working in a joinery orientated workshop

* Able to read and understand technical data

* Ability to learn new skills and an ambition to learn and develop knowledge in using CAD software

* Any exposure to CAD software is particularly helpful, but not essential

* Good attitude to work; ambitious, enthusiastic, reliable and a commitment to improving.
