Are you a strategic and solutions-focused Buyer with a background in manufacturing or engineering environments? Do you thrive in fast-paced supply chain roles where attention to detail, supplier performance and cost control are critical?

We’re recruiting for a global manufacturer based in Cambridge, supplying precision-engineered products to highly regulated industries. As Buyer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring material availability, maintaining supplier relationships and supporting on-time project delivery.

As Buyer, your responsibilities will include:

Leading day-to-day purchasing activities, including sourcing, negotiating and order placement

Monitoring supplier performance, managing stock levels and tracking order progress

Working with cross-functional teams to ensure material availability for manufacturing and projects

Reducing total cost of ownership through strategic sourcing and supplier consolidation

Supporting planning, risk mitigation and supplier performance reviews

As Buyer, your experience will include:

3+ years in procurement or supply chain roles within a manufacturing or engineering setting

Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills

Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems (SAP or equivalent) and Excel

Experience working with procurement KPIs and supply chain data

Ideally CIPS qualified or working towards
