This Butchery Manager role is an opportunity to take ownership of a respected traditional operation where quality, craftsmanship and customer service remain at the heart of everything. You'll lead from the front, shaping standards, developing people and helping drive the continued success of a well-established independent business with a loyal customer base and strong local reputation.

Your responsibilities as Butchery Manager

Oversee daily production and retail activities, ensuring consistently high standards

Lead, coach and develop the existing team while supporting training and knowledge sharing

Manage stock control, ordering and supplier relationships to maintain availability and minimise waste

Maintain food safety, hygiene and quality standards across all areas of the operation

Support retail customers with expert product guidance while helping grow trade accounts

Assist with operational planning, equipment oversight and community-based activities when required

What we’re looking for in a Butchery Manager

Extensive full carcass preparation and meat processing experience across multiple xjnqpsq species

Previous leadership or supervisory experience within a similar environment

Strong knowledge of stock management, ordering and inventory control processes

Experience training and developing junior team members or apprentices

Background working within traditional, independent, wholesale or catering supply environments

Working hours: 40–45 hours per week, Monday to Saturday, with two days off per week.
